JAMES is an exhibition project that was brought to life by 6 international jewellery makers:
CHRISTINE GRAF (Germany), LISA JUEN (Germany, China), TONI MAYNER (UK), PATRICK MCMILLAN (USA), KATHRYN PARTINGTON (UK) & JESSICA WORLEY (UK).
After the first group show 'Come and see JAMES' in 2007, which was also the Final Show of the 2007 MA Jewellery, Silversmithing & Related Products group, those 6 makers decided to carry on with showing their work and establish their own independent exhibitions.
So far, three exhibitions have been shown at the Atelier Klarastrasse 1, alongside the 'Schmuck' Fair in Munich, Germany:
'JAMES on Stage' in 2008
'The JAMES Exchange' in 2009
'Dear JAMES' in 2010
In 2011 'The JAMES Days' was on show at the BKV, Bayerischer Kunstgewerbeverein e.V in Munich.
Currently we are working on fresh ideas and new work for our future show alongside 'Schmuck'. Please come and join us next spring to celebrate JAMES' 5th Birthday! ;)
